Karen Harvey-Cooke has been involved with Student Volunteering Cardiff for almost 20 years. She is an Organisational and Staff Development Manager within HR at Cardiff University and is Chair of the University Staff LGBT+ Network, Enfys (Welsh for rainbow).
In HR Karen has a cross university role in supporting organisational change and manages a team that are responsible for employee engagement and equality, diversity and inclusion. During her time as Chair of Enfys, Cardiff University has featured in the Stonewall Top 100 Employers for 5 consecutive years as the top University. Enfys have been named as the Employee Network Group of the year in 2020 by Stonewall and Stonewall Cymru. Outside of work, Karen can most often be found travelling with her wife Mandy and being told what to do by their cat Hedwig.
